2021 becomes a landmark year in terms of increasing the number of AAA projects for large customers. One of them is the photorealistic VR simulation Birdly Insects. This project becomes a Gold Winner in the NYX Game Awards international competition in the Game Design/Creature Design category.

The massive work on the world’s first blockchain-based AAA FPS game Undead Blocks also becomes an interesting challenge: our 3D character, weapon, and environment modeling experts team up with game and sound designers, as well as technical artists, to create an authentic post-apocalyptic setting and atmospheric musical design.

Two new areas of expertise appear:

  • Game porting
  • Game QA testing
  • Enterprise gamification

 

Despite the crisis period and the 2020 pandemic, the gaming industry remains on the rise. Flexible adaptation to the new conditions of remote work allows reducing the employee attrition rate by up to 4%.

The company continues to actively engage in AAA projects, headlined by the legendary game of the Star Wars franchise from Lucasfilm. Kevuru Games wins the tender and begins work on the creation of AAA photorealistic 3D characters for Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge. The team is delighted to see the company name and artist names in the credits of the game played by millions of players around the world.

The successful growth of the AAA level of the company’s services allowed Kevuru to enter a new stage of cooperation with the world’s top studios on iconic projects.

This year, the company is actively developing AAA expertise in the following areas:

  • 3D environments: modular environments, organic environments, and props.
  • 3D weapons for first and third person games.
  • 3D photorealistic characters: people, animals, and individual elements (clothes, hair, etc.).

Considering the greatest prospects of the Unreal engine in the field of creating the most modern AAA games, the Unreal direction appears and is actively developing in the company.

Particular attention is also paid to 2D, in particular, art and animation. The 2D team is actively working on such projects as Claire Hart (Pogo), Big Farm (Goodgame Studios), Monster Legends (Socialpoint), Taboo Stories (Nanobit), and more.

The 2017-2018 period passes under the Fortnite banner: the concepts created by our team contribute to the significant advancement of the company in the international arena, as well as the overall strengthening of 2D and concept art expertise. Throughout the entire period of cooperation, about 120 unique-looking concepts of skins for various thematic areas are created.

The Unity development department is also being formed: the company is actively recruiting experienced Unity specialists to form the leadership foundation of the team and cover the entire pipeline of the full development cycle to provide relevant services to customers. Initially, the focus is on mobile and PC games, with plans to work with consoles as well.
